Although wine has been a longtime interest for me, I became seriously involved in 2005 after completing a SWEN level 2 course. Immediately after, I began a year long apprenticeship under Ron Cave at Van Bakel en Cave in Amsterdam. I worked for a couple other wine shops/importers and then completed my WSET Advanced level 3.

In 2008, I started up my own business, a delivery service of quality wines for the Amsterdam area. I continued doing this until 2011, when I was offered the position of manager of Wijnhuis Zuid in Amsterdam, which was named the 2nd best wine shop in Amsterdam that year by Harold Hamersma in Het Parool.

In 2013, I started Dwayne Perreault Wine Consultancy, known on the internet as I am currently an appraiser of fine and vintage wines and spirits at among others Winefield’s Auctioneers.

Since wine is a passion for me, I enjoy writing about it. On this site, you will be able to find all my archived articles. In 2008 I began posting on David Bolomey’s Bordoverview blog, and have since then contributed to more than 40 articles on wine.
